Bethesda to Announce Oblivion Remaster Tomorrow

Author : Simon May 14,2025

After months of swirling rumors and tantalizing leaks, it seems that Bethesda is on the brink of officially unveiling the much-anticipated remaster of The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion. The announcement is set to take place tomorrow, and fans are buzzing with excitement.

In a recent post on Twitter/X, Bethesda teased the event, slated for 8:00 am PT/11:00 am ET, to be streamed on both YouTube and Twitch. Although the post didn't explicitly mention the remaster, the prominent "IV" and a background strikingly reminiscent of iconic Oblivion artwork left little doubt about the subject of the announcement.

Rumors about an Oblivion remake have been circulating for what feels like an eternity. The speculation kicked into high gear following a leaked 2020 Bethesda release schedule, revealed during the FTC vs. Microsoft trial in 2023, which hinted at an Oblivion remaster planned for fiscal year 2022. Despite the outdated nature of the document and the missed release window, the possibility of a canceled project lingered. However, the whispers grew louder in January of this year when another leak suggested that Bethesda, in collaboration with support studio Virtuos, was working on a full-blown remake. Last week's leaks from Virtuos' website, featuring in-game images, seemed to solidify these rumors.

If the latest leaks hold true, The Elder Scrolls: Oblivion Remastered will be available on PC, Xbox, and PlayStation. Fans can look forward to a Deluxe Edition, which includes the iconic horse armor, in addition to the standard version.

Don't miss out on the big reveal tomorrow. Tune in to get all the official details and more about what promises to be an exciting revival of a beloved classic.
