After finishing the main quest in Assassin’s Creed Shadows, the game's expansive open world remains at your fingertips. You can continue to explore and engage with the vast array of side content available in Feudal Japan. Completing the main quest does not restrict your access to this content, allowing you to fully immerse yourself in the game's rich world.
Additionally, Ubisoft will introduce new weekly challenges via the Animus post-launch, ensuring that even players who achieve 100% completion will have more to do.
Assassin’s Creed Shadows Epilogue and Endgame Explained
The journey might not end with the credits. In my experience, the credits rolled after completing the Shinbakufu Objective Board and the main quests for Yasuke and Naoe. However, I hadn't yet earned the trophy for finishing Act 3 or The Epilogue. To unlock the epilogue and experience the true ending, you must complete the personal stories of Naoe, Yasuke, and Junjiro. After doing so, return to the Hideout and speak with Tomiko. This will grant you the complete ending of Assassin’s Creed Shadows and the associated achievements.
Towards the game's conclusion, you'll also unlock exclusive gear sets themed around the Assassins for Naoe and the Templars for Yasuke. These sets come with unique perks that enhance each protagonist's play style and are designed to delight long-time Assassin’s Creed fans.
As for endgame content, you can continue to level up your characters all the way to the game's maximum level cap, even after the credits roll.
What’s Next For Assassin’s Creed Shadows?

While the main story concludes at launch, Assassin’s Creed Shadows promises ongoing content updates. New items will likely be added to the in-game store, and additional content will be available through the Animus. Moreover, a story expansion titled The Claws of Awaji is set to release later in 2025, offering over 10 hours of new content on the Island of Awaji.
Assassin’s Creed Shadows is now available on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S.
