Choosing to aid Markold requires you to kill three miners, which yields a mere 60 groschen, marking it as the least favorable outcome. Instead, the best course of action is to support the miners. Give the letter to Markold as planned; he'll reward you with seven groschen and direct you to meet some miners just north of the city.
Head to the designated spot, wait for the miners, and proceed to their camp to meet Myslibor. When Markold arrives to attack, join forces with the miners to defeat him. Successfully completing this will earn you 160 groschen from Myslibor and the satisfaction of improving the miners' working conditions.
