While specifics about the gameplay remain under wraps, it's confirmed that *Made in Abyss: A Difficult and Mysterious Journey* will be a casual mobile title available on both Android and iOS platforms. The *Made in Abyss* saga began in 2012 as a manga by Akihito Tsukushi, serialized on Web Comic Gamma. The story revolves around Riko, a young orphan from the town of Orth, which is perched on the edge of a colossal vertical chasm known as the Abyss. This mysterious abyss is teeming with ancient technology, bizarre creatures, and a dark enigma that has claimed countless explorers.
Riko's ambition is to emulate her mother, Lyza, a renowned White Whistle Cave Raider who vanished into the depths of the Abyss. During her journey, Riko encounters Reg, a boy with robotic features and amnesia. Together, they embark on a perilous descent into the Abyss, fully aware of the risks involved.
The manga's popularity led to its adaptation into an anime in 2017, followed by a sequel film, *Dawn of the Deep Soul*, released in Japan in 2020. In 2022, Chime Corporation further expanded the universe with a console and PC RPG, *Made in Abyss: Binary Star Falling into Darkness*.
