In 2022, Innersloth transformed the gaming landscape by introducing a virtual reality version of Among Us, which received widespread acclaim. Now, the studio is set to elevate the game further with the launch of Among Us 3D, a new iteration that offers a fully immersive first-person experience without the need for a VR headset.
Among Us 3D retains the beloved core mechanics but reimagines them for traditional gaming setups. A teaser trailer provides a sneak peek into this new dimension, showing how tasks, meetings, and sabotage will be experienced from the character's perspective. Fans eager to dive into this innovative mode can do so during Steam's upcoming "Game On" festival, where a free demo will be available for testing.
Although an official release date has not been disclosed, Among Us 3D will launch primarily on PC. The game is optimized for keyboard and mouse controls and features an updated interface to enhance accessibility. Additionally, cross-play functionality will enable users of Among Us 3D to connect with players of Among Us VR, while the original Among Us will continue to operate independently.
To enhance the player experience even further, Innersloth is planning to introduce a new in-game currency called Stardust in the coming months. This currency will offer expanded customization options, allowing players to personalize their avatars and contribute to the game's ongoing development.
