Big news for fans of the "Now You See Me" franchise: the third installment has been officially titled "Now You See Me: Now You Don’t," and a fourth film is already in development. This exciting announcement was made by Adam Fogelson, chair of Lionsgate Motion Picture Group, during CinemaCon. He also confirmed that "Now You See Me: Now You Don’t" is set to hit theaters on November 14, 2025, as previously announced.

Ruben Fleischer, who has taken the director's chair for the third film, has also signed on to develop and direct the fourth installment of this action-packed heist series. The franchise, which has already grossed $700 million worldwide, continues to captivate audiences with its blend of magic and thrilling heists.

The first two films featured a stellar cast including Jesse Eisenberg, Woody Harrelson, Isla Fisher, Dave Franco, and Morgan Freeman. The third film introduces a new generation of illusionists, with Justice Smith, Dominic Sessa, and Ariana Greenblatt joining the lineup, alongside Rosamund Pike.

Fleischer, who previously worked with Eisenberg and Harrelson in his debut film "Zombieland," expressed his enthusiasm for the project, stating, "Directing 'Now You See Me: Now You Don’t' was as much fun as making any movie in my career. It combines two of my favorite things — heist movies and magic — and working with this incredible cast was truly magical. Of course I want to keep it going."

Bobby Cohen, the original developer and producer of the series, will return to produce "Now You See Me: Now You Don’t" alongside Alex Kurtzman of Secret Hideout. Meredith Wieck will oversee the project for Lionsgate.

Fogelson praised Fleischer's work on the third film, saying, "Ruben has delivered all of the twists and turns and sleight-of-hand that audiences expect from this franchise while upping the stakes and scale in every way. We can’t wait for audiences to discover what he’s done with the third film and thrilled he’ll be making even more magic with us."

Despite the franchise's commercial success, critical reception has been mixed. IGN's review of the first "Now You See Me" gave it a 6.3/10, noting, "Now You See Me seemed so promising, but it squanders its cool cast and nifty premise on smarmy, shallow characters and a flimsy, nonsensical plot." The sequel, "Now You See Me 2," received a slightly lower score of 6.2/10, with IGN stating, "Now You See Me 2 isn't the worst magic act in town, but it's all flash and no substance."

With the announcement of "Now You See Me: Now You Don’t" and the fourth film on the horizon, fans can look forward to more thrilling magic and heists from this beloved franchise.
