In standard Gin Rummy, only a player with 10 or fewer deadwood points may knock. Knocking with zero deadwood points is called a Gin hand, while knocking with remaining deadwood is referred to as going down.

This Gin Rummy variant removes knocking. Both players aim to form gin, and the first to do so wins the round.
♥️ Oklahoma Gin Rummy ♥️
In this popular variation, the face-up card’s value sets the maximum deadwood count allowed to knock. For example, if a seven is revealed, you must reduce your unmatched points to seven or fewer to knock.
