A Popular Persian Card Game Throughout the Middle East
Pasoor, also known as Chahar Barg, is a classic fishing-style card game originating from Persia. Widely enjoyed in Iran, its gameplay resembles the Italian games of Cassino and Scopa, and bears an even closer similarity to the Egyptian game of Bastra. The game is also commonly referred to as Chahâr Barg (meaning "four cards"), Haft Khâj ("seven clubs"), Haft Va Chahâr, or Yâzdah (the number 11, signifying the goal of capturing seven clubs in a four-card hand where 11 is a winning score).
