How to play Batak Trump Spades.
Number of Players: 4.
The game uses a standard 52-card deck. Each player is dealt 13 cards. All Spades are trump cards.
In Swamp Trump Spades, only Spades are considered trump cards.
The goal is to predict how many tricks you will take before the round begins and then try to win at least that many.
Starting with the player to the dealer's right, everyone states their predicted trick count, which is recorded on the scoreboard.
Gameplay:
The first player leads with any card. Subsequent players must follow suit if possible.
If a player cannot follow suit, they may play a trump card; otherwise, they can play any card.
Scoring:
At the round's end, scores are calculated based on the number of tricks a player predicted versus the number they actually won.
If they met or exceeded their bid:
10 × bid tricks + (tricks won - bid tricks) points.
If they won fewer tricks than their bid:
-10 × bid tricks points.
If a player bid zero tricks at the start of the round:
They score +50 points for taking no tricks, or -50 points if they take any trick.
Settling occurs when you fail to meet your bid by the end of the game.
